Big Wine, ½ Price

No, we’re not talking about a trans-bridge binge at Canals. Starting tonight, Lacroix at the Rittenhouse is offering a BYOB option every Monday night. Eh, so you’re mildly intrigued. Well how ‘bout this: On Mondays, should you not BYO, Lacroix’s award-winning wine list is all 50% off. That means that $1350 bottle of 1983 Chateux Margaux Grand Crus Reserve Bordeaux will only set you back somewhere in the $650 region! Okay, so maybe that’s still out of most of our price ranges. But a 1998 Col d’Orcia Brunello discounted from $175 to $87.50, just an eyelash above its retail value, is an affordable splurge.
