Toil and trouble is on the menu the new Swanky Bubbs in Cherry Hill, where Jerseyans can get grub just as middling as in Old City without paying $3 to cross the river. Edamame gnocchi, gummy green mega-marshmallows that tasted like muddy peas soup. A Thai banana split that was not Thai at all. Spacey service. There were glimmers of hope—Fiji spare ribs with a thick hoisin lacquer, crafty Chinese take-out box lanterns we wish were available at IKEA—but the piece de resistance was a yellowfin tuna steak ordered rare and cooked till a well-done, duct tape-colored atrocity. Wait till you read here what it was served with.
