Something Nice from T+L

They call us ugly on one page, trumpet our fresh/local cooking philosophy on the next. Check page 70 in the current issue to beef up on Lancaster County neck pumpkins, on the menu at Old City’s Bistro 7. Though neck pumpkin sounds like some mysterious goiter, we’d try Michael O’Halloran’s take on the sweet orange squash: cider roasted with gnocchi, toasted walnuts, brown butter, and sage. According to the menu on Bistro 7's website, the same dish is done with butternut squash, so either it's changed recently or T+L's fact-checkers are dumb (and ugly).
