Who knew Philly Java Co. was a bastion of Arabic confection? Made with vivid pistachios lacquered in honey and bound with golden threads of phyllo dough, the treats look like glittering bits of rose-hipped emerald costume jewelry inside the pastry case at the Queen Village coffeehouse. They’re sold 75 cents a piece, and taste like some exotic, salty-sweet breakfast cereal, Syrian Mini Wheats, if you will. Yum.
